This blend is intended to mimic the traditional Boston Cream Pie but a ripe banana flavor contributes. For those not familiar with Boston Cream Pie, there are many variations. In the traditional sense, it’s a dense yellow cake that has been cut into two separate hemispheres. A rich cream filling is sandwiched between the two halves and the entire cake is then put back together and coated with a thick milk chocolate frosting. It’s really more of a cake than the “pie” title suggests and banana slices have added to differentiate this particular cream filling.
Isolani
Glazed lemon zest sugar cookie.
Our take on a traditional glazed lemon zest sugar cookie. Most lemon flavors come across as artificial and taste more like something you use to polish your coffee table. The idea behind Isolani was to focus on the lemon zest to make it even more authentic tasting. This blend is designed to be a chewy white lemon zest sugar cookie that’s been coated with a sweet glaze (or frosting) to offset the acidic nature of the zest itself.
Kibitzer
Grilled pineapple upside-down cake.
Tasting every bit like a traditional pineapple upside-down cake, this blend uses a grilled pineapple note to bring out the sweetness instead of it being tart or sour. You'll taste a pineapple that appears to have been grilled over a wood-burning flame and balances well with a moist yellow cake. After being prepared, it’s turned upside-down to allow the caramel-like pineapple reduction to live on the top of the cake and fully saturate everything below it.
