FAQ'S

WHAT IS AN ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE?

It is a device the consists of a battery, a tank (or clearomiser) which contains a heating element (atomiser) and liquid (made of food grade ingredients).  The battery powers the atomiser which in turn heats up the liquid creating a vapour.

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES?

When E-Cigarettes were first rolled out they were small, looked like cigarettes and produced very little vapour.  Because of their simplicity, there were no options to change any settings or customise the unit to suit peoples personal vaping needs.

One common goal for vapers is to produce big plumes of vapour without running the electronic cigerette too hot and dry and getting a horrible burnt taste in their mouths.

  • Variable Voltage and Variable Wattage batteries offer vapers the ability to adjust the power running into the coil (where the liquid gets turned into vapour).  This can assist in producing bigger vapours and getting a bigger hit from each vape.
  • Higher mAh amounts mean the battery will run for longer than lower mAh which means less charging time for the vaper.  Of course the higher the mAh generally means the bigger the battery so people can decide between big bulky units or easily more mobile units.
  • Atomisers/Clearomisers are where the action happens.  This is the unit that holds the E-liquid and the coil which heats up to turn the liquid to vapour.  Different coils and different clearomisers give different results in terms of vapour production.

WHAT IS MEANT BY PG AND VG IN THE LIQUIDS?

The PG and VG are the main components of E-liquid (besides the flavour of course).

PG = Propylene Glycol and is found in foods, pharmaceuticals and beauty products.
VG = Vegetable Glycerine and is also found in the above applications.

PG is a great carrier for the flavours and therefore if the mix is 100% PG you will get strong sweet flavour and somewhat of a 'throat hit' similar to a cigarette.  It on itself however does not produce a lot of vapour.

VG is a thicker substance and its main purpose generally speaking is to create vapour.  It on itself however can gunk up the atomisers in the kits quicker and does not carry flavour as well as PG.

Both are odourless and clear liquids.

The reason we suggest a 50/50 mix for people starting out is that you get the perfect balance between big vapour and good flavour.  Some very rare cases exist where people are allergic to PG or VG (as with any food substances and additives) and therefore we offer the option for 100% of either mix.

HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING NICOTINE FOR OR IN MY LIQUIDS?

Nicotine is illegal for sale and supply in Australia due to TGA regulation and as such we cannot sell or supply it.  Please note that for years, our customers have had fantastic success using non-nicotine E-liquids and as such we highly recommend this approach.
